The hill of Aspis was first populated at the end of the Neolithic period, ca. 4000-3500 BC, and then again ca. 2000-1600 BC. With the beginning of the Mycenaean period this settlement was abandoned. - Below: The curving wall is one end of the Middle Helladic apsidal house near the top of Aspis hill. This is superimposed by later buildings. |
